Unlike traditional Pisowifi, which uses a Raspberry Pi as the hardware, ShareWifi uses a more professional high-performance router. It supports four gigabit LAN ports and simultaneously supports both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi, with a maximum bandwidth of 1800 Mbps.
The traditional Pisowifi solution typically only supports 100Mbps LAN and 300Mbps Wi-Fi.
In fact, the router used by ShareWifi is manufactured by the well-known brand Xiaomi. Xiaomi is a hardware manufacturer focused on high-performance products, especially in the gaming sector. Its products are known for their strong performance and affordable prices, making them popular among young people worldwide.
XIAOMI ROUTER / MAIN ROUTER / BILLING ROUTER / SHAREWIFI ROUTER SPECIFICATIONS (SPECS)
All black appearance:
The top shell is hollowed out, which is very beneficial for heat dissipation.
Label on the bottom of the fuselage:
There are four Gigabit network ports on the back, 1WAN+3LAN.
What's inside:
A large aluminum heat sink covers most of the motherboard:
The thickness of the aluminum version is 3mm. Xiaomi has always paid attention to heat dissipation design, and even the customized version for operators is not sloppy. Thumbs up.
Remove the heat sink:
There is a small piece of EMI shielding foam on the heat sink, with one side sticky:
There is no chip on the back of the motherboard. The antenna is soldered to the motherboard. One of them is very short, so this angle is the limit:
Remove the shielding cover on the front of the motherboard, and you will find that both the memory and CPU have thermal silicone pads.
The CPU model is MT7621AT, dual-core 880MHz, with five integrated Gigabit network ports.
Below the CPU is the memory chip, model number is M15T2G16128A, capacity is 256MB, DDR3.
To the right of the CPU is a flash memory chip, model F59L1G81MB, with a capacity of 128MB.
The wireless chip is MT7905DAN+MT7975DN, which makes up the "MT7915D". Both 2.4G and 5G support 2x2mimo, with a maximum rate of 574Mbps for 2.4G and 1201Mbps for 5G.
There is no external FEM chip.
DC power input circuit:
There is nothing else to see, so the Xiaomi CR6609 is disassembled here. The chip summary is as follows:
The standby power is 5.9W, and while the MT7975DN+MT7905DAN generates some heat, the design features, such as the large heat sink and the strategically placed heat dissipation holes on the top cover, effectively manage and minimize the heat buildup. This results in a more efficient and cooler performance overall.
